Marble — World Labs
You give Marble text, images, panoramas, multiple views or a video, and it generates an explorable 3D world. The result can be rendered on the web or exported into other tools, so you end up with a scene you can keep and reuse.

Genie 4 and Marble are both called world models, but they make different things. Genie 4, from Google DeepMind, generates a live world that keeps changing as you move and talk to it. Marble, from World Labs, generates a 3D world you can explore, render on the web or export to other tools. The other big difference: you can use Marble today, with a free plan and a public API, while Genie 4 is still invite-only.

Genie 4 generates a world in real time as you move through it. You can change it with plain language, it produces sound and speech, and characters react to you. You get an experience in the moment rather than a scene file.
Checked October 28, 2026. Marble’s pricing page shows dollar amounts without naming a currency or region, so we copy them as shown. Both columns come from each company’s own descriptions, not from our testing.

The simplest way to choose is to ask what you need at the end. If you need a scene you can keep, such as a 3D environment to look around, share on the web or bring into another tool, that matches what Marble produces, and World Labs describes design and creative workflows as typical uses. If you want to be inside a world while it happens, steering events, changing the weather or talking to characters, that is what Genie 4 is built to show. A good example of the difference: checking camera angles in a fixed space is a Marble-style task; acting out a scene with characters who respond to you is a Genie-style task. We have not tested either for specific projects, so treat this as a description of what each company says its model does.

Marble is the one you can build on today. World Labs launched the World API on January 21, 2026 as a public interface to Marble. Generation runs asynchronously: you submit a request and collect the world when it is ready. The developer platform handles API keys, usage tracking, billing and documentation. Note that the $0 to $95 monthly plans are for the Marble app; Marble’s pricing page points developers to separate API pricing on its developer platform. Genie 4 has no public API yet. Google has named early access partners of the Gemini API and Google AI Studio as the first developer route, but has not published a model ID, request format, price or date.
DeepMind lists several Genie 4 limitations: details and object permanence can drift over time, real places are not reproduced accurately, readable text usually appears only when it is in your prompt, complex interactions and audio accuracy are still being worked on, and sessions last a few minutes. World Labs’ announcement focuses on what Marble produces and how to integrate it, and does not compare itself with Genie. There is no independent, side-by-side benchmark of the two models yet, so we do not name a winner.
