How to export your world to Blender

Bring your own generated scene into Blender. First decide whether you need a visual Gaussian splat, editable mesh geometry or a flat panorama: these are different assets and use different import paths.

1. Choose your export

AssetUse
SPZ / PLYGaussian appearance; requires a compatible splat renderer
Collider GLBCollision geometry; not a textured visual replacement
High-quality GLBMesh workflow; choose textured or vertex-color export
360° panoramaFlat equirectangular reference

2. Download from your world

Open your completed world in Library. Use Download to select an existing asset or request an available export. Check the credit quote before requesting a high-quality mesh. Wait for the export task to finish and then download it. Keep the original files and the world metadata together. Community examples are credited references; use their original source page for creator-provided downloads.

3. Import the mesh into Blender

Use Blender’s glTF 2.0 import support to open the GLB mesh. Inspect the imported objects, materials and bounds before editing. Save a separate project copy so the original export remains available. Blender supports several interchange formats; a file extension alone does not guarantee that Gaussian appearance will be reproduced by a standard mesh importer.

4. Check scale and ground alignment

For raw Marble splats, multiply centers and linear sizes by metric_scale_factor, then subtract ground_plane_offset from the centers’ Y coordinate. Use the returned values, not fixed example numbers. Apply the target renderer’s axis conversion once. Compare against a known-size object.

5. Verify before production

Inspect the horizon, origin, material appearance and bounds. Check that the collider aligns with the visible scene and that camera movement remains smooth on your target hardware. Reduce preview density when necessary. A splat is not automatically a navigable game level: add collision handling, controls and gameplay in your own project.

FAQ

Can I import SPZ as an ordinary mesh?

No. Gaussian splats need a compatible splat decoder and renderer. For a mesh workflow, choose the GLB export. Verify format and version support in the renderer you use.

Which assets can I download?

Public panoramas are available to everyone. Full-resolution splats and meshes are restricted to the author with the required paid plan. High-quality mesh export requires Pro or Studio and additional credits.
